Ratargul Swamp Forest is a freshwater marsh backwoods situated in Gawain River, Fatehpur Union, Gowainghat Sylhet, Bangladesh. To enter the forest you have to travel by boat which is called Dingi in the local language. Once the boat is in the forest and there is no sound! Though Ratargul is situated in Gowainghat Upazilla, it is not too far away from Sylhet city. Driving on the Airport Road, one reaches Dhupagul point on the Sylhet-Companigong highway, from where he\she should take the Dhupagul Horipur Road and drive a short distance to Motorghat, from where visitors can enter the swamp forest on little pontoons (boats). Rather than stopping at Motorghat, tourists can also move a little further ahead and reach Ramnagar Bazar.
